Kendall Roberson
Assistant Coach
Kendall Roberson joins the Aggies as the defensive backs coach replacing Carlton Buckels. Before arriving at NMSU, Roberson was at Benedict College where he was the defensive backs coach and co-defensive coordinator from 2003 to 2007. During his time at Benedict, Kendall helped the team rank among the nation’s top defenses for four consecutive years. He also guided at least five all-Conference players each season at Benedict. Prior to his stint at Benedict College Roberson was the safeties coach at South Carolina State in 2002. Roberson guided two student-athletes to National Player of the Week honors in 2002. As a student-athlete at Mississippi State University from 1996-2000, Roberson played under Joe Lee Dunn, the Aggies’ new defensive coordinator. He was a four-year letterman as a defensive back. He graduated from Mississippi State with a Bachelor’s degree in Fitness Management. Roberson is pursing a Master’s degree in Business Administration. He is a member of the American Football Coaches Association and is also heavily involved in Big Brother/ Big Sisters.
