Chris Ruybal enters his third season as the graduate assistant for the New Mexico State football team. His main responsibilities include working with the defense and assisting the linebackers and defensive backs. He also spends some time helping with video coordinating and editing, including breaking down film, along with assisting the day-to-day operations of the program.
Prior to NMSU, Ruybal was the assistant football coach at Adams State College in Alamosa, Colo. As a Grizzly, he was in charge of the linebackers, defensive backs and running backs. He was also the video coordinator, including all film exchange throughout the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference and was an assistant director of football operations.
From 1993-97, Ruybal was a solider in the U.S. Army. While representing America, Ruybal was the helicopter crew chief for the Kiowa Warriors and managed all troops in the helicopter. He also led the company in all categories of top flight management.
Ruybal graduate from Adams State College in 2006 with a B.A. in Business Administrations. He is currently working on his Master’s degree at NMSU.
