NM State Football to Host Annual Spring Game

LAS CRUCES, N.M. - The New Mexico State football team closes out its second spring under head coach Doug Martin with the annual spring game, on Saturday, April 19at 6:00 p.m. in Aggie Memorial Stadium.

The Spring Football Game is the final spring practice for the Aggies before they resume a regular practice schedule in the fall. The spring game is open to the public and admission is free. Each kid 12 and under will receive a free Aggie draw-string backpack courtesy of Southwest Dairy Farms.

The Aggies will play four 12-minute quarters, using a scoring system where both the offense and defense and earn points. The game will also be streamed live on NMStateSports.com for both video and radio, as Hall of Famer the ‘Voice of the Aggies’ Jack Nixon brings you the call from the booth. The game can also be heard on KSNM 570 AM.

Spring Game Scoring System

Defense

6 Pts = Turnover

3 Pts = 3 & Out

2 Pts = 4th Down Stop

2 Pts = Sack

2 Pts = Stop 2 Pt Play

2 Pts = Forcing Punt

1 Pt = Tackle For Loss

Offense

6 Pts = TD

1 Pt = PAT

3 Pts = FG

2 Pts = 2 Pt Play

1 Pt = 12 Yard Run

1 Pt = 18 Yard Pass

1 Pt = 4th Down Conv.
