LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The New Mexico State football team held its first spring practice Sunday afternoon inside Aggie Memorial Stadium. The Aggies practiced for about two hours, going through individual position drills, team passing drills, 7-on-7 and special teams.

Head coach Doug Martin was pleased with what he saw in the Aggies’ first practice of the spring.

“I really liked the attitude and enthusiasm our football team had today on the field,” Martin said. “I was pleased with how the wide receivers performed today and I thought quarterback Tyler Rogers looked good. I look forward to the rest of the week and seeing improvement out of this football team.”

The Aggies will practice Monday and Wednesday of this week, beginning at 8:30 a.m. in Aggie Memorial. As a reminder, the first hour of practice is open to the public but will then be closed for the final hour. The spring game is Saturday, April 19th. A time for the spring game has not been set.
