Walk-On Information

March 20, 2013 at Coca-Cola Weight Room - 2:30 p.m.

  • You must have been cleared by NCAA Clearinghouse: Click Here
  • Bring Cleats
  • You just have had a physical on or after Oct. 20, 2012, and bring a signed copy to the tryout and a written results of a sickle cell blood test
  • You must bring a signed "Waiver Form" to the tryout - available at the football office (575-646-2521)
  • You fall under transfer rules set forth by the NCAA
  • No member of the New Mexico State Athletics Department may talk with you
  • New Mexico State receives a release from your school (per NCAA rules)
  • You must be accepted and enrolled at New Mexico State University
    • You must be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours and have a 2.5 GPA or better
  • You must apply and be accepted to New Mexico State University
  • If you are not enrolled at New Mexico State University, you will not be able to walk-on (per NCAA rules)
