LUBBOCK, Texas—The New Mexico State track and field team wrapped up competition at the Texas Tech Open in Lubbock, Texas on Saturday, April 5.
The team had to battle the weather as much as the other athletes as the meet was hit with some cold temperatures.
“I felt we did a decent job, especially battling through how cold it was here,” head coach Orin Richburg said. “We had a couple of people do well including Diana (Hawk) and Gael (Sanchez) but we did decide to scratch our 4x400 relay team because we didn’t want to risk any injuries in this temperature.
