2005-06 (Red Shirt Junior): In his first season with the Aggies Ingram adjusted quickly to his new environment as he was named second team All-WAC and to the All-WAC Newcomer Team. Ingram played in 29 of the Aggies’ 30 games last year while making 27 starts at the guard position. Ingram ranked second on the team and 14th in the WAC in scoring, averaging 13.4 points per game while helping the Aggies tie for the fifth-best turnaround in all of Division I men’s basketball. Ingram led NMSU in scoring eight times last season and scored 10 or more points in 21 of his 29 games, including a 10-game streak from Dec. 29 to Feb. 4. Ingram topped the 15-point mark 11 times last year and scored 20 or more points on five occasions. Ingram finished the year shooting 40 percent from the field 12 times and hit 40 percent from three-point range in 15 games. He led the team in three pointers made (57) and three points attempted (152). He was also a force at the free-throw line as he ended the season ranked third in the WAC in free throw percentage (.805). Ingram shot even better in conference action as he ranked fourth in the league at the charity stripe, connecting on 82.1 percent of his attempts. He shot 80 percent or better from the free-throw line 15 times last season and connected on all of his attempts in 11 games. Ingram also added to the offense by getting his teammates involved as he led the squad with 3.1 assists per game and ranked ninth in the WAC in assists per league game (3.4). Ingram dished out three or more assists in 20 games last season while leading or tying for the team lead in assists 19 times. On the defensive end of the floor, Ingram averaged 2.9 rebounds per game and collected 24 steals on the year. He began the year with at least three rebounds in seven of the Aggies’ first eight games and finished the season with three or more rebounds 17 times. Ingram grabbed at least one steal in 17 games and had multiple steals five times. In the season opener against No. 18 UCLA (Nov. 15) in the first round of the NIT Season Tip Off, Ingram led the Aggies with a then-career-high 24 points while hitting 4-of-5 shots from behind the three point arc. Ingram finished his first game 8-for-11 from the field and 4-for-4 from the free-throw stripe. In an overtime loss to Sam Houston State (Nov. 26), Ingram dropped in 17 points while dishing out three assists. He finished the contest 5-for-12 from the field and 5-of-6 from the charity stripe. In his first showdown with I-10 rival UTEP (Nov. 30) Ingram lit the Miners up for 17 points while dishing out five assists. He connected on 5-of-12 shots from the field, including 3-for-6 from long range, grabbed three boards and one steal. Three days later, Ingram helped lead the Aggies to their first win over I-25 New Mexico since 2002 as he finished with 17 points, six rebounds and three assists. Ingram, who hit 3-of-7 from three-point range, was also a perfect 6-for-6 from the free-throw line in the victory. In two games at the University of San Francisco Invitational, Ingram averaged 10.5 points, 2.5 rebounds and two steals in a loss to the Dons and a win over Chicago State. In his second showdown with the Lobos (Dec. 13), Ingram scored 11 points and was 5-for-10 in a tough overtime loss at the Pit. In a matchup with Bobby Knight and Texas Tech (Dec. 29), Ingram helped the Aggies to a near upset of the Red Raiders as he scored 13 points and handed out three assists in 33 minutes of action. In the Aggies first WAC home game, against Fresno State (Jan. 12), Ingram led NMSU to the win with 17 points and three assists. He finished the contest 7-for-8 from the field, including a perfect 3-for-3 from downtown, and added two rebounds. Two nights later against Hawai’i (Jan. 14), Ingram helped the Aggies to the weekend sweep as he added 21 points and four assists in a win over the Rainbow Warriors. Ingram was 5-for-10 from the field and 9-for-11 from the free-throw line. On Feb. 2 against Utah State Ingram posted a career night as he led the Aggies to a win over their namesake.  Ingram finished the contest with a career-high 28 points, four assists, four rebounds and three steals in just 33 minutes of work. Ingram was 7-for-14 from the field and 11-for-12 from the charity stripe in the victory. Two days later, Ingram scored 26 points in a tough home loss to Nevada. Ingram finished the game 7-for-16 from the field and a perfect 10-for-10 from the free-throw line. In his second meeting with Utah State, Ingram led the Aggies to a rare win in Logan as he tallied 24 points and grabbed two steals. Ingram was 8-for-14 from the field, including a career-high six three pointers (6-for-10). Against Louisiana Tech (Feb. 23) Ingram led the Aggies with 15 points, six rebounds, five assists and three steals. In his first WAC Championships, Ingram averaged 15 points, 5.5 rebounds and four assists as the Aggies reached the semifinals. In the first round against fourth-seeded Hawai’i, Ingram scored 13 points, dished out five assists and added four rebounds in a 58-57 win over the Warriors. In a semifinal loss to eventual tournament champion Nevada, Ingram led the Aggies with 17 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Ingram suffered a hamstring injury in the Aggies’ home final against Idaho (Feb. 25) and did not play in the regular season finale at Hawai’i (Mar. 2).

2004-05 (Junior): Ingram red shirted the season in accordance with NCAA rules after transferring from St. John’s University.

2003-04 (Sophomore):
As a sophomore at St. John’s, Ingram started 16 of 18 games and led the Red Storm in scoring with 13.3 points per game. He finished the season ranked second on the team with 28 steals and third with 43 assists. He was also among the team leaders in rebounding with 3.7 boards a game. He  ranked second on the team in three-point shooting at 37.7 percent, connecting on 49-of-130 threes, and third on the team in free-throw percentage at 66.7 percent of his attempts. He scored in double figures in 14 of his 18 games played and led the team in scoring on seven occasions. In the Red Storm’s home opener against Fairfield (Nov. 24), he played a season-high 40 minutes and added 12 points, four rebounds, two assists and a pair of steals. Against Duke (Dec. 6) at Cameron Indoor Stadium, Ingram had 12 points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals versus. the Blue Devils. Three days later against St. Francis (NY), Ingram went 5-for-9 from the field, including a perfect 4-for-4 from three-point range as he dropped in 16 points while adding two assists and a pair of steals. At Georgia Tech (Dec. 21), Ingram tied a season high with 21 points and added five assists and four rebounds against the Yellow Jackets. Against Seton Hall (Jan. 10), Ingram scored 11 points against Seton Hall and hit 3-of-6 three pointers to become just the seventh player in St. John’s history to have 100 three pointers in their career. Against Miami (Jan. 14), Ingram tied for the team lead with 16 points on 6-of-10 shooting while adding four rebounds. At Georgetown (Jan. 20), he came off the bench to tie for the team lead with 14 points while adding six rebounds and an assist. In a New Year’s Eve bout with Pac-10 powerhouse, UCLA, Ingram tied a season high with 21 points as he connected on five three pointers. He also added eight rebounds, four assists and tied a season high with three steals against the Bruins.

2002-03: (Freshman): As a freshman, Ingram started 31 of 34 games at the point guard position for the Red Storm while averaging 10.5 points and 2.6 assists per game as St. John’s won the 2003 NIT Championship. He opened his collegiate career with six straight double-figure scoring performances and finished the season with 20 double-figure scoring games, including eight in which he scored over 15 points. In just his fourth college game, against St. Francis (NY) (Dec. 11), Ingram led the Storm with 19 points, five assists and two steals. Two games later, he dropped in 18 points and hit four three pointers to lead St. John’s at Wake Forest (Dec. 21). Against North Carolina (Dec. 28), Ingram was 4-for-9 from the floor, including 3-of-6 from downtown for 14 points while tying a season high with four rebounds. At Miami (Mar. 8), Ingram had a great night as he scored a season-best 23 points while adding four rebounds, two assists and a steal. Ingram was 8-for-12 from the field on the night, including 4-of-7 from behind the three-point arc. In the 2003 NIT Tournament, Ingram averaged 15.5 points and 5.3 three rebounds a game as the Red Storm captured the tournament title. In a semifinal matchup with Bobby Knight and Texas Tech, Ingram was 6-for-10, including 3-for-6 from three-point range for 16 points in a win over the Red Raiders. He also had six rebounds, five assists and three steals to help the Red Storm advance. In the championship game against Georgetown, Ingram recorded 19 points on 4-of-8 shooting while adding three rebounds, two assists and a steal. Ingram was also 3-for-6 from three-point range and a perfect 8-for-8 from the free-throw line in the victory.

High School: Ingram was a McDonald’s All-American at storied St. Anthony’s High School in New Jersey under head coach Bob Hurley. He was named the New Jersey State Player of the Year his junior season after averaging 18 points, five assists and three steals per game. Ingram also helped lead the Friars to state championships in 2001 and 2002 as St. Anthony’s finished the 2002 season ranked No. 2 in the country by USA Today.

Personal: Elijah was born in Newark, N.J. and is the son of Carrie Ingram. He is majoring in Family & Child Sciences at New Mexico State University.
