1 Jonte Green

2010 (Junior):  Green played in all 12 games for the Aggies in 2010, averaging 6.1 tackles per game for 18th best in the WAC.  Green totaled 74 tackles, 46 solo tackles, and eight broken-up passes for the season.  Green's best game came against Boise State (Oct. 1) when Green totaled seven solo tackles and 11 total tackles.  Green also finished the game with one tackle for three yards.  Green totaled nine total tackles against San Diego State (Sept. 11) and Kansas (Sept. 25).  Against UTEP (Sept. 18), Fresno State (Oct. 16) and Nevada (Nov. 20), every tackle by Green in the game was a solo tackle.  Green had five tackles against UTEP, six tackles against Fresno State and seven tackles against Nevada.  Green made eight total tackles and four broken-up passes against San Jose State (Oct. 30).  Against UNM (Oct. 9), Green recovered a fumble for his own recovered fumble of the season.

 2009 (Redshirt Sophomore): Green was one of the Aggies' starting defensive backs in 2009, playing in all 13 games. Green tallied 74 tackles on the season, a tackle for a loss and eight pass break-ups. Green was fourth on the team in tackles on the season. He recorded eight games on the season where he tallied six or more tackles. At Louisiana Tech (10/10), Fresno State (10/24) and Ohio State (10/31), Green grabbed a career-high eight tackles in each game. Versus Idaho (9/5), he tallied seven tackles and a pass break-up in his first career start. Against UTEP (9/19), Green had five tackles and a season-high two pass break-ups.

2008 (Sophomore): Green redshirted his first season with the Aggies.

Benedict College: Green played one season at Benedict College at defensive back as well as a kick returner. In 2007, Green recorded 41 tackles, including 16 solo efforts. He also tallied one sack, four interceptions and two pass break-ups. Green also recorded one kick-off return for 33 yards. He helped the Benedict defense hold its opponents to 328.9 yards per game.

High School: Green played both defensive back and running back for Lakewood High School. During his junior season, Green played defensive back and collected 40 tackles and four interceptions on the season. His senior season, Green made the move to running back where he tallied 950 yards rushing and six touchdowns. He also returned three kickoffs for touchdowns. Green was named an all-district selection his senior season. He also ran track, making it to the state championships in the 100-meter dash, the 4x100-meter relay and the 4x400-meter relay.
