LAS CRUCES, N.M. -- New Mexico State sophomore guard Daniel Mullings was selected to represent his native Canada during the 2013 World University Games in July. Mullings becomes the first Aggie player to compete in the University Games since Martin Iti played for Australia in 2007. The University Games take place in Kazan, Russia from July 6-17.

Mullings was voted to the second team All-WAC, after he supplied 14.7 points, 2.6 assists and 2.6 steals per game in conference games in 2012-13. He also earned all-defensive team honors. Mullings led the WAC in steals with 47 in league games, and he ranked sixth in scoring. He is the first Aggie to collect all-defensive team honors since 2008. Last season, Mullings was a WAC All-Newcomer team selection. He helped guide the Aggies to a WAC Tournament title in 2013 and a spot in the NCAA Basketball Tournament.
