Women’s Tennis Awarded for Academic Success

LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The New Mexico State women’s tennis team was honored for the second straight year for its academic success at the annual Crimson and White Awards academic banquet on Tuesday, April 2.

The team received the NM State Scholar Athlete Governor’s Academic Award, which honored the team with the highest cumulative grade point average for the year. The team boasted a team cumulative GPA of 3.55 through the fall semester.

Honored with the award for the second straight year, the women’s tennis team holds the highest team grade point average of all teams at NM State.

The Aggies head into the final week of competition before the WAC Tournament by hosting Utah State on Friday, April 12, and then welcoming Denver on Sunday, April 14, for Senior Day. Aggie seniors Pinero and Williams will each be honored at Sunday’s dual.
