Aggies Rekindle Rio Grande rivalry Saturday

LAS CRUCES, N.M. – After a long week of conference play, the New Mexico State women’s tennis team makes the trip north to meet Rio Grande rival New Mexico on Saturday, March 30.

The Aggies (5-10) are coming off a 5-2 win over Seattle U last weekend to cap off a week full of Western Athletic Conference duals. Led in singles by Ros-Polly Nguyen, the junior is 3-1 in WAC play and 11-4 on the season.

The Lobos go into the weekend with a 5-8 record and two straight losses. Leading the Lobos in singles play is Michaela Bezickova with a 11-2 record at the top position. Doubles competition is led by Michaela Oldani and Sarah Mahboob Khan (6-3) at court three.

The dual is set for 12 p.m. at the Linda Estes Tennis Complex on Saturday, March 30. Live scoring is available for the match HERE.
