Senior Derek Baade continues to lead the Aggies after a 2-over par, 73 in round two. He is 1-under par, 141 (68-73) for the tournament and is tied for 13th overall. Junior Willy Hogan carded his second straight even par, round of 71, placing him in a tie for 21st overall at even par, 142 (71-71).
Senior Justin Shin shot a 2-over par, 73 for the second round in a row and is 4-over par, 146 (73-73). He is tied for 51st. Freshman Kenneth Fadke II improved one shot from round one to round two with a 2-over par, 73. He is now 5-over par, 147 (74-73) for the tournament and sits in a tie for 60th overall.
Freshman Joey Martinez was 9-over par, 80 in round two and is 13-over par, 155 (75-80) after two rounds. Martinez is tied for 93rd overall.
BYU leads the tournament at 9-under par, followed by Illinois (-8), Baylor (-5), Tulsa (-4) and Wichita State (-4). Wichita State’s Hunter Sparks is 10-under par, going into the final round on Saturday.
The Aggies will be back on Saturday morning for the final round of the Desert Shootout.
