Aggies Host Thanksgiving Game

LAS CRUCES, N.M.-The New Mexico State men’s basketball team hosts North Carolina A&T on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 26, at 7 p.m. inside the Pan American Center. The game is available on KGRT 104 FM with Jack Nixon calling the action and the pregame show starts at 6:30 p.m. Since the Aggies are playing a special holiday night game, NM State is offering free admission to kids 12 and under.


New Mexico State Aggies

The Aggies are 1-3 after falling in their second road game of the season. Junior guard Jahmar Young has a team-high 19.8 points per contest and senior guard Jonathan Gibson adds 19.3 point per game. Sophomore center Hamidu Rahman contributes 17.0 points and 8.0 rebounds per game.


Scouting North Carolina A&T

North Carolina A&T is 3-2 prior to its matchup at UTEP, Wednesday, Nov. 25, in El Paso. Nic Simpson leads the Aggies with 13.6 points per game.

When NM State hosts North Carolina A&T, Nov. 26, it marks the first meeting in program history.


Aggies Fall in BracketBuster Return Trip

In a rematch of the ESPNU BracketBuster game from a season ago, the Aggies fell at Cal State Fullerton, 84-73, Nov. 24, at Titan Gym in Fullerton, Calif. Sophomore center Hamidu Rahman recorded his first double-double of the year with 19 points and a career-high 12 rebounds. Junior guard Jahmar Young also scored 19 while senior guard Jonathan Gibson contributed 16 points.

The Aggies host UTEP, Tuesday, Dec. 1, at 7 p.m. inside the Pan American Center, in Las Cruces, N.M.
