NM State Women's Golf Competing in Hawai'i

KAHUKU, Hawai'i - The New Mexico State women's golf teams plays its final tournament of the fall season Nov. 2-4 in Kahuku, Hawai'i.

The Aggies will compete in the inaugural Turtle Bay Resort College Invitational with the first two rounds being played on the 6,361 yard, par-72 Palmer Course and the final round being played on the 6,261 yard par-72 George Fazio Course.

NM State will join the 18-team field, which includes nationally ranked teams such as UCLA and Western Athletic Conference foes San Jose State and Hawai'i.

The Aggies take the same line up it has used all season with junior Mint Swaschuto (Bangkok, Thailand) leading the way.  She has the lowest average on the team at 76.67 strokes per round with the only top-20 finish on the team.  She came in tied for 14th at the Price's "Give 'Em Five" Intercollegiate in Las Cruces, Oct. 14.  Playing along side Swaschuto is senior Maggie Murphy (Sioux Falls, S.D.), junior Buz Bowerman-Ritchie (Oshawa, Ontario), sophomore Gina Bortoletto (The Woodlands, Texas) and freshman Lindsay Reeve (Redmond, Ore.).

The event is a 54-hole stroke play competition with tee times starting at 11:30 a.m. Live stats will be available at www.HawaiiAthletics.com.  Fans can also go to www.NMStateSports.com for a recap of the Aggies play.
