LAS CRUCES, N.M. - After spending three nights in a tent outside the Pan American Center in an effort to sell 100 New Mexico State Women's Basketball season tickets, head coach Darin Spence is OUT of the tent. Ticket No. 100 was sold, late Thursday afternoon.
Spence would like to thanks the community and the local radio stations, Radio of Las Cruces and 101 Gold, for rallying around him to make his goal.
"Our players and coaches are excited about the way the community has jumped on board with us and we know they will enjoy watching this team this year," Spence said. "We are very appreciative of our fan base and how it has grown over the last six years. We obviously want to see it continue to grow and this week was a great sign of it doing just that. I want to say thank you to all the people this week that supported our effort."
The Aggies begin their 2009-10 campaign on the road in California as they take on Cal State Northridge, (Nov. 13), and Cal Poly, (Nov. 15). NM State hosts Long Beach State, Nov. 20, at 7:05 p.m.
