NM State Menís Golf Finishes Tied for 9th at Aggie Invitational

Bryan, Texas -- The New Mexico State men’s golf team finished the 2014 Aggie Invitational, hosted by Texas A&M, tied for ninth overall with a three-round score of 62-over par, 926 (321-296-309). In the final round, the Aggies carded a 21-over par, 309.

Junior Brett Walker ended the tournament with a three-round score of 9-over par, 225 (77-71-77), finishing tied for 16th overall. Walker was 5-over par, 77 in the final round. Sophomore Kenneth Fadke II shot 6-over par, 78 in the final round, finishing 17-over par, 233 (83-72-78), placing tied for 33rd.

Freshman Luis Medina and junior Pat Beyhan both finished the tournament tied for 41st with a three-round score of 19-over par, 235. Medina and Beyhan both carded final round score of 5-over par, 77.

Senior Willy Hogan was 7-over par, 79 in the third round, placing 65th overall after a three-round score of 30-over par, 246.

LSU and Texas A&M tied for the tournament title at 35-over par, followed by Texas Tech (+39), California (+42) and Oklahoma State (+42). Brandon Hagy of California won the individual leader at 4-under par.

NM State will be back on the course for the 2014 WAC Golf Championship, May 2-4 in Las Vegas, Nev.
