Senior Justin Shin led the Aggie son day one with rounds of 2-under, 70 and 1-under par, 71. He is currently tied for ninth overall at 3-under par, 141. Shin recorded six birdies on the day. Freshman Kenneth Fadke was 2-under par, 142 after two round of play, after shooting even par, 72, in round one and 2-under par, 70, in round two. He had eight birdies on the day. Fadke is currently tied for 14th overall.
Sophomore Brett Walker carded the lowest round of the day for NM State with a 4-under par, 68 in round one but shot a 5-over par, 77 in round two, placing him in a tie for 32nd overall at 1-over par, 145. Junior Joey Martinez was 6-over par, 150 after two rounds of play, sitting in a tie for 62nd overall, while senior Derek Baade is 7-over par, 151 and in a tie for 67th overall. Martinez had four birdies on the day, while Baade carded seven in two rounds.
No. 13 Oklahoma State leads the tournament at 17-under par, followed by No. 18 TCU (-16), No. 5 New Mexico (-11), San Diego State (-10) and No. 15 Arkansas (-7). Julien Brun of TCU leads the tournament at 11-under par.
The Aggies will be back on the course tomorrow for the final round.
