LAS CRUCES, N.M (Jan.
31) - Continuing on the road for three straight matches, the New Mexico
State men's tennis team makes the trip to Las Vegas, Nev., to face UC
Riverside, UNLV and Southern Mississippi over the course of three days, Feb.
After splitting its first two duals of the season, NM State
battles UC Riverside on Friday, Feb. 1, before meeting the host Rebels on
Saturday. The Aggies have lost four of the last five to UNLV, with the Rebels
being ranked in the top 50 three of those meetings. The Aggies did claim the
most recent victory in 2012 with a 5-2 win in Las Vegas.
NM State then finishes up the three-day battle with Southern
Miss on Sunday, Feb. 3. The teams last met in 2011 when the Aggies picked up a
6-1 victory over the Golden Eagles.
Friday and Saturday's matches are set for 10 a.m., while the
final match of the weekend is slated for 9:30 a.m., on Sunday, Feb. 3.
