NM State Head Coach DeWayne Walker

What was the difference in the halves?

"There's two halves to every ball game and you play against a team like this, they're physical you almost have to play pretty perfect on both sides of the ball to emulate that first half. They wore us down and we just weren't able to move the ball. Had to play two good halves to be in this game and we didn't."

Did they change anything in the second half?

"I thought they did. Their offense went into like a hurry up a little bit and that was smart on their part. They kind of took us out of being able to match them personnel wise and give us a chance to line up and play football. So I thought that was really smart on their part and we just couldn't answer the bell when they got the advantage on us."

BYU Head Coach Bronco Mendenhall

What did you tell them before the game?

"I just reminded them why we came and asked them why they came to Las Cruces. I knew it was going to be very unique circumstances, after Thanksgiving and there might not be a full stadium, but our fans supported well.

What did you think about James Lark?

A: I was very impressed. I was just grateful to have a chance to let James show what he could do. I thought he managed the team really well, he threw the ball exceptionally well and he had so much fun.
