LAS CRUCES, N.M. (Nov. 13)-The New Mexico State swimming and diving team returns to competition at the UH Phill Hansel Invitational, Thursday, Nov. 15 to Saturday, Nov. 17 in Houston, Texas.

"Competing at this year's Phil Hansel invite is going to be a great experience for our group," head coach Rick Pratt said. "With four top ranked programs attending, the level of competition compared to last year will be greater and that will give us some challenges we need. I am very happy with the progress we have been making at practice this past month, and it will be good to let them come up for air so to speak and post some good mid-season performances. With finals and the holidays around the corner, things are really busy. It will be great to get out there and have some fun."

The three-day meet has 11 women's teams including Air Force, Arkansas, Fresno State, Houston, Idaho, NM State, LSU, SMU, Texas A&M, Tulane and Wyoming. The Aggies are competing in the invitational for the second consecutive season. Last year, NM State finished in third place in the team standings with 493 points.
