NM State head coach DeWayne Walker postgame quotes

The defense played extremely well against the No. 1 ranked offense in FBS, talk about what was in the game plan for today and how they executed it?

"It's pretty simple. It was some late nights, so we figured we needed to take away number four and try to stop the run. We felt like if we can keep four out of the end zone and stop the run we had a chance to stay in the ballgame defensively and even though they got their yards, we kept them well under their average and it appears that the scheme that we put together worked for the most part."

Talk about just the fight, I know that's been kind of the motto the last couple weeks, through adversity. Talk about how well you guys just continue to fight today?

"Well that's all we have left, you know. I preach to the kids every day and I say hey guys when we stop fighting, then it's over. And that's one thing that I love about this football team, despite our record and despite things haven't been perfect, these kids come out and they practice hard every day and they fight hard in the games so that's all I can ask at this point."

Louisiana Tech head coach Sonny Dykes postgame quotes

What was your call offensively in the first half?

"We had a hard time running the football, and then we had a hard time throwing. You know they did a good job in their schemes."

Defensively was NM State a good match?

"In the second half we just didn't block them very well. I thought they played very well upfront. You have to give New Mexico State some credit. I thought they did a heck of a job."
