NM State Menís Golf Finishes 12th at William H. Tucker

Albuquerque, N.M. – The New Mexico State men’s golf team moved one spot in the team scoring during the final round of the William H. Tucker Invitational. The Aggies finished 12th overall as a team with a three-round score of 44-over par, 908.

Justin Shin led the Aggies on the team side with a three-round score of 5-over par, 221. He carded a final round score of 1-over par, 73 and finished tied for 16th overall. Kenneth Fadke was 2-over par, 74 in the final round and finished 8-over par for the tournament, placing tied for 29th.

Taylor Mihok carded the best round of the day for the Aggies with an even-par, 72, finishing tied for 33rd with a three-round score of 9-over par, 225. William Hogan struggled in the final round with a 14-over par, 86, tying for 75th overall. Brett Walker was disqualified in the final round.

Individually, Derek Baade was the top Aggie finisher playing as an individual in the tournament. Baade fired a 2-over par, 74 in the final round but finished 4-over par, 220 for the tournament, placing him tied for 13th overall.

New Mexico wins its home tournament with a three-round score of 15-under par, followed by Colorado (+14), San Francisco (+22), UC Irvine (_25) and Minnesota, BYU and Baylor at 26-over par. Gavin Green  of New Mexico wins the individual title with a 7-under par.

The Aggies will be back in action on Oct. 14-016 at the Lone Star Invitational in San Antonio, Texas.
