COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The three members of the New Mexico State diving team began participation at the 2014 NCAA Zone E Regional inside the Air Force Academy’s Cadet Natatorium on Thursday by taking part in the 1-meter diving event.

Sophomore Audrey Ruiz was the top scorer for the Aggies during the preliminary round.  Ruiz, who is making her second-consecutive trip to the zone regional, finished in 48th place with a total six-dive score of 212.80.

Senior Jaymee Porter finished right behind Ruiz in 49th place after marking a total score of 210.25.  Sophomore Lauren Reifel, meanwhile, wound up a couple of spots behind Porter after a total score of 202.85 placed her in 51st place.
