LAS CRUCES, N.M.—Head track and field coach Orin Richburg announced Monday the signing of another athlete to the field team next season.

Taylor Stutely is a field athlete from Sackville, Nova Scotia, Canada and has competed in shot put and discus throw in her field career.

“We are pleased that Taylor Stutely has chosen to join the Aggie family,” said assistant coach Larry Carmichael. “She has demonstrated the potential to be a strong member of our developing throwing group and team.”

In 2013, Stutely was a national under 18 silver medalist in both the shot put and discus. She was also a member of the Canadian Team for the shot put in the IAAF World Youth Championships in Donetsk, Ukraine.

The track and field team will be in action this week as they travel to Moscow, Idaho for the 2014 WAC Indoor Championships on Wed. Feb. 26-28.
