LAS CRUCES, N.M. – In the midst of her 11th season as head coach for the New Mexico State softball team, Kathy Rodolph clinched her 300th career victory as the Aggies head coach in an 11-2 win over Incarnate Word on Saturday, Feb. 22. She entered the 2014 season with a record of 291-281 all-time at NM State.

Rodolph joined NM State in 2004, and now is the all-time winningest coach in Aggie softball history. She is currently three wins away from her 500th career win as a college head coach.

In her best season with NM State, Rodolph led the surging Aggies to their first ever Western Athletic Conference title and leading NM State to its first ever NCAA tournament appearance in 2011.

Rodolph also coached former Aggie standout Hoku Nohara, who received Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division I All-American second team honors in the 2011 season.

At the helm of the program, Rodolph guided junior Staci Rodriguez to WAC Player of the Year in 2013 and former Aggie Valerie Swedberg to conference Freshman of the Year in 2011.

Rodolph has strung together a series of seven seasons with 30-plus victories. Her career high in season wins came as the Aggies recorded 44 victories and she was named WAC Coach of the Year in 2011.

Leading the Aggies to a second place finish last season, Rodolph and the Aggies set a record for longest winning streak in program history with 11 wins. The record setting 11th win came against No. 17 Arizona (Apr. 9).

For the 2014 season Rodolph has led the Aggies to a 10-5 record thus far, recording a win streak of eight games that is still ongoing.
