LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The New Mexico State athletics department announced Wednesday that former NM State wide receiver Preston Williams will join the ‘Voice of the Aggies’ Jack Nixon in the radio booth as the color analyst for the football broadcasts beginning in 2013.

"My memories at New Mexico State are some of the best memories of my life,” Preston said. “Las Cruces is a wonderful community and NMSU is a great place to have experienced my youth. I am very grateful for the opportunity I have to give back to the place that gave me so much. Working next to Jack is an honor and privilege. To have the opportunity to work next to a man that is a lasting part of Aggie Football is a wonderful thing. I am looking forward to this season because I believe this program is trending in the right direction because of our new head coach, and the coaching staff he has assembled."

"I am excited to be able to work with Preston this season,” Nixon said. “He is committed to the Aggies and our town."

Williams played wide receiver and was a four-year letter winner for the Aggies from 2000-04. In 2005, Williams earned his B.A. in communication studies. Currently, Williams is an owner of a State Farm Insurance Agent that serves Las Cruces.  A native of New Mexico, Williams and his wife Susan have one son, Darion, and are expecting their second child in mid-October.

You can catch all the action with Jack and Preston each week on KGRT 104, as they bring you all the action from all 12 NM State football game in 2013. Pre-game show starts an hour before every kickoff.
