DENVER – LaSasha Aldredge from the New Mexico State University track and field team was named the Western Athletic Conference Women’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week for the week of April 1-7 as of a result of her performance at the Don Kirby Tailwind Invitational this weekend.

Aldredge, a senior from Fresno, Calif. Aldredge’s time in the 400m is now a new overall school record and ranks sixth in the NCAA. Her time in the 200m places her second all-time for NM State. In the 4x100m, Aldredge helped the Aggies place first overall with a time of 45.34, which ranks first in the conference and third all-time in the NM State record books. In the 4x400m, Aldredge also helped the Aggies finish first overall in that event with a time of 3:45.51 to place eighth all-time for NM State.
