Aggies Finish Fall at ITA Mountain Regional

LAS CRUCES, N.M. (Oct. 16)-The New Mexico State men's tennis team ends its fall season at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Mountain Regional Championships, Wednesday, Oct. 17 through Sunday, Oct. 21 in Las Vegas, Nev.

The tournament includes players from 16 universities in the region, and the draw includes both singles and doubles action.

In singles action on Wednesday, freshman Yannick Blank faces Fredrik Peterson of Utah State, freshman Naveen Manivannan takes on Zeno Kastelic of Utah State, sophomore Germain Degardin plays Oliver Good of Weber State, freshman Stahinja Trecakov meets Brandon Nielsen of Utah State, freshman Daniel Fernandez faces Cody Miller of UNLV, and junior Marc Westgate takes on Diego Campos of Montana State.

On Thursday, sophomore Eduardo Cabrita meets Mads Hegelund of New Mexico, while senior Luis Ramirez earned a bye until Friday.

In the doubles draw, Cabrita and Trecakov play Nevada's Moez Charqui and Andrew Poustie and Blank and Degardin meet Montana State's Niklas Brandes and Campos on Wednesday. Both Ramirez and Westgate along with Fernandez and Manivannan received a bye until Thursday.
