LAS CRUCES -- The NM State men's golf team will travel north to compete in the William H. Tucker golf tournament Sept. 28-29 at the 7,562-yard, par 72 UNM Championship Golf Course. The teams will play 36 holes Friday and 18 Saturday.
"I'm looking for us to compete for three rounds of golf," head coach Mike Dirks said. "Last tournament we really only competed for two of the three rounds so I want to see us go out and play a complete 54-holes of golf."
NM State will compete against Arizona, BYU, Baylor, Colorado, Minnesota, New Mexico, Pepperdine, San Francisco, Texas-San Antonio, UC Irvine, Utah, UTEP and Wyoming.
Justin Shin, Patrick Beyhan, Kenneth Fadke II, Brett Walker, Derek Baade and William Hogan will represent the Aggies this weekend.
The Aggies finished seventh last season as then senior Gaston De La Torre, carded the low round of the day for the Aggies, a 4-under par, 68, finishing tied for seventh overall at 1-over par, 217 for the tournament.
