LAS CRUCES, N.M. (Sept. 17) - New Mexico State softball head coach Kathy Rodolph announced the Aggies' fall schedule that includes five intrasquad scrimmages dubbed the Crimson and White Series and five additional fall contests.
Rodolph returns 14 players from the 2012 squad that finished the season with 24 victories. The Aggies also welcome seven new additions to the team this season including five true freshmen.
The Aggies start their fall schedule this Friday, Sept. 21 with the first of five Crimson and White intrasquad scrimmages beginning at 3 p.m. at the NM State Softball Complex. Admission is free.
The Crimson and White series is a new addition to the fall slate this season. For a series of five consecutive Fridays this fall, NM State will hold an intrasquad contest at the Complex.
The Aggies face Western New Mexico in their first fall scrimmage at noon Sunday, Oct. 7.
After the final Crimson and White series game on Oct. 19, NM State will play four times in its final weekend of fall ball. The Aggies face Midland College at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 20 on the diamond in the first game of a triple-header.
In game two NM State plays Eastern Arizona College at noon. In the finale the Aggies meet Midland a second time at 2 p.m.
In the final game of the fall slate, NM State takes on Midland in a 9 a.m. battle Sunday, Oct. 21 at the Complex.
