Mak Set to Tee Off at West Regional Tournament

ERIE, Colo. - New Mexico State sophomore Demi Mak of the women's golf team tee's off at the NCAA Division I Women's Golf West Regional at 8:25a.m. (MT) at the 6,575 yard, par 72 Colorado National Golf Club in Erie, Colo., Thursday, May 10.

Mak, a 2012 first team All-WAC selection, will be playing with BYU's Maggie Yuan and Colorado State's Brianna Espinoza while all groups will be starting from the No. 1 tee.  Mak is one of six individuals playing in the West Regional.

Three regional tournaments are being conducted May 10-12 to determine the championships field. Regional tournaments are considered preliminary rounds of NCAA championships competition, and all national championships policies apply.

A total of 378 participants have been selected for regional competition. Of these players, 126 will advance to the championships finals. Eight teams and two individuals will advance from each regional.

The championships finals will be held May 22-25 at the Vanderbilt Legends Club in Franklin, Tenn., and will be hosted by Vanderbilt. The regional sites and the selected teams and individuals are listed below.
