High School: Donisthorpe was an accomplished pitcher at Piedra Vista High School in Farmington, N.M. Coming off of her fifth straight New Mexico high school softball state championship last summer; Donisthorpe earned 2011 Louisville Slugger/NFCA High School All-American Second Team honors from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA). She claimed NFCA All-West Region First Team honors earlier in the year for the second straight season. Donisthorpe set the state of New Mexico high school record for strikeouts in a season with 346 in 2010. She followed that up with 307 K's during her senior campaign in 2011. As a junior she set the state record for strikeouts in a game with 19. Donisthorpe earned the Southwest Region Player of the Week honors from ESPN RISE after leading PVHS to its sixth straight Class 4A state championship. In the 2011 title game, Donisthorpe struck out 16 batters and allowed only four hits in a 5-0 victory. In the week leading up to the championship battle, the senior tossed a pair of no-hitters in state playoff games. In June 2011, Donisthorpe garnered her second straight Gatorade State Softball Player of the Year Award for New Mexico after also winning the honor in 2010 as a junior. In 2010 she led the Panthers to their fifth straight state of New Mexico Softball Class 4A Championship. En route to the title, Donisthorpe defeated both the 5A and 3A state championship teams. Donisthorpe was an ESPN Rise Third Team All-American pitcher after her junior season. She went undefeated against in-state competition at 58-0 over two seasons in the circle from 2009-2010. She finished '10 with a 0.69 ERA and 346 strikeouts in 161.1 innings for an astounding average of two K's per inning. As a junior, she recorded 14 shutouts, nine no-hitters and a perfect game. As a result she earned 2010 Player of the Year honors as well as the District Pitcher of the Year award. She also garnered the Ace Pitcher Award and All-Tournament Team Honors at the Southern New Mexico High School Softball Invitational. During her sophomore season, she pitched a no-hit shutout against the state 5A champions retiring 18 at the plate. That game was one of Donisthorpe's nine shutouts to go along with 168 strikeouts in 82.2 innings. Those numbers led to a 0.34 ERA. As a result, she won All-District and All-Tournament team pitching honors in 2009 as well as the Ace Pitcher Award. As a freshman in 2008, Donisthorpe earned all-state honors as a first team outfielder and a second team pitcher. She made the all-academic team in each of her five seasons. She also nabbed all-district honors and the Gold Glove Award at Piedra Vista. She pitched six shutouts with 78 K's in 41 innings of work for a 1.02 ERA and an unblemished 8-0 record. She also earned the Strike Zone Female Athlete of the Year. As an eighth-grader on her first varsity state title team, she began her string of All-Academic team honors to go along with state and district championship trophies. She also played volleyball her first two years of high school. Donisthorpe is a member of the National Honor Society and has volunteered locally on behalf of the Special Olympics. In the off-season, Donisthorpe played for the New Mexico Sundancers club team coached by Paul Kohman. On the national stage, she led the pitching field at the ESPN Premiere Girls Fastpitch National Championships in strikeouts per inning.

Personal: Donisthorpe plans to major in chemistry. She was born in Farmington, N.M., to Brian and Theresa Donisthorpe. Her older brother Kurtis graduated from NM State in 2011.
